1. What sizes are best for my child?
iPlay frames are all designed for all ages up to large kids and teens. We have added age related guides to our frame descriptions. You can also use our size assist feature to compare our frames with glasses currently worn. You will find the size and availability charts on the eyewear techincal tab.
SEEcreatures frames need the help of an optician to asses the perfect size, typically they are perfect for ages up to 7 years. Your optician will be able to select the perfect size for you.
2. Do Exeter Eyewear frames need special cleaning or care?
Our frames are resistant to cleaning solution damage and are highly durable against wear and tear. But your lenses may need special cleaning care.
3. Can I order frames directly from Exeter Eyewear?
Eyewear for people under 16 is regulated by the Opticians Act 1989 and must be dispensed by and optician or under the supervision of an optician. Online sales or unsupervised sales are not permitted in the UK. Please ask your optician to view our eyewear, or contact us and we will make the introduction for you.
4. What happens if the frames break?
We have an easy to access, low cost parts service. Your optician may be charged fees.
We also have an accidental damage policy so your optician can order a like for like replacement as a much lower price than the original frame.
You don’t need to return to your optician for repair. Our eyewear is all modular, so we are able to repair our frames in accordance with regulatory standards, via our award winning service centre partner.

You will be charged a postage fee of £9.50 for this service and you should include your return address and email contact. The glasses will be returned to any UK address by DHL courier or equivilant service.
Regions outside of the UK will be charged a standard shipping rate of £40.00
Payment request will be made by secure email link and payment is required in advance of shipping. Estimated service time 1-3 working days.
5. Are they free with the NHS voucher?
The voucher issued from the NHS is funding towards the cost of the new glasses. The final cost of the glasses will depend on the lens options discussed by your optician and applicable professional service charges.
6. Are they suitable as sunglasses?
All our frames can be fitted with prescription and non-prescription sunglass lenses. Please ask you optician for guidance.
7. Are Exeter Eyewear frames suitable for myopia management lenses?
Yes, our iPlay Eyewear frames are perfected suited to myopia management lenses. These types of lenses work best when the frame is fitted perfectly, our micro adjustment system is designed for exceptional fitting. Myopia management lenses typically require a deeper lens shape, this is referred to as the ‘B’ measurement. Our size assist chart will help your optician find the perfect frame.
