Exeter Eyewear delivers innovation, quality, and service. The business is a legacy project to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the NHS.

Founder and Director, Rob Barrow, and his existing business, Spec-Care Ltd have been recognised by the Parliamentary Trust to represent optical providers at the NHS 75th birthday celebrations in 2023. Spec-Care has provided spectacle fitting solutions for over 20 years. Helping young people see the world better with custom designed fitting aids and being recognised in 2021 as the Technology Supplier of the Year, at the annual Optician awards.

We are officed at the Exeter Science Park, housing some of the country’s richest resources in science, technology, engineering, maths, and medicine (STEMM). This is a thriving community of start-up businesses, where innovation meets inspiration. Our service department is housed within Spec-Care, where no better team exists for delivering perfect fitting eyewear.

Rob Barrow, himself qualified with the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO), liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers (WCSM), Freeman of the City of London and qualified Optical Technician (SMCtech), has the vision to bring value and quality to the development of children’s spectacles.
